About Surgical Coordinator

What does a Surgical Coordinator do?

As Surgical Coordinators, we mainly carry out administrative functions in a surgical operation setting. Administrative functions include keeping the patient's record, scheduling the time of operations and check-up, entering post-surgical data about the patient, scheduling the equipment needed for an operation to take place. Some of us may act as office managers for surgical offices in the hospital. We are also responsible for answering telephones, admitting incoming patients, and scheduling all the procedures necessary for an operation to take place.
