What does a Survey Party CHIEF do?

We, as survey party chiefs, oversee land surveys. Our job is to plan out each survey study and check the characteristics of the ground or surrounding land. Our duties include evaluating and calculating land potential as a construction site and manage workers on a survey crew. Our additional tasks involve making sure that measurements are precise, research data and information, and prepare maps. We have to present discoveries to relevant groups or individuals. Our primary job is to manage survey teams and using global positioning system methods.

  • utilizing GPS technologies to manage robotic crews assign to projects
  • providing day-to-day support activities
  • updating and improving drafts and drawing of the property
  • corresponding with the engineers
