Founded in 1980, Syntel Inc is an Information Technology and Services company. Headquatered in Troy, Michigan, Atos Syntel was created by the merger of Syntel Inc and Atos S.E. which came into existence in October 2018. The company’s digital services not only engage customers and discover new insights with the help of analytics but also create a more connected enterprise through the internet of things. The company markets its services to enterprises in the banking and financial services, retail, logistics and telecom, and manufacturing sectors. The company was originated as Syntel International by Bharat Desai and Neerja Sethi and initially functioned as a software staffing firm delivering services to local corporations like General Motors, and some principal government units which earn $30,000 in its first year. The initial Syntel offshore development centers were established in 1992 in Mumbai and soon after in Chennai. The first phase of a 27-acre technology campus was also opened by Syntel in Chennai in May, 2010.
