within Systems Design is seeking a full time Systems Engineer to join the Mission System and Sensors (MSS) business area in Fullerton, CA.
The System of System Department (SoS) supports IDS by providing world class Weapon Systems Engineering. Domain Expertise includes Radar Systems, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications, Network Design, Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers. In our experience, diversity of talent and thought is what drives innovation and we are looking for motivated engineers who will be responsible for performing Systems Engineering studies and trades, supporting System Requirements definition and analysis, algorithm development, integration, test and evaluation.
In this position, the Chief Product Owner will function as a Sub-Integrated Product (IPT) Lead to Mission Systems Product Team Lead. The Chief Product Owner will be responsible for supporting the contract technical scope in addition to the on-time delivery, on-schedule performance, and cost of the contracts within the product line. The Chief Product Owner will support IPT Leads with program execution and will interact with IPT leadership on product line strategy, status, and direction. The Chief Product Owner will apply disciplined program management and Earned Value processes and tools to establish and monitor metrics and trends to ensure excellence in execution.
This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or Salary Grade G10 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.Required Skills:
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of engineering or related technical discipline
• Experience with requirements development, analysis, verification and validation
• Experience leading small teams to achieve goals on cost and schedule
• Experience with Earned Value Management
• Familiarity with requirements management using Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
• DoD Clearance, or ability to obtain within 1 yearDesired Skills:
