About Tax Intern

What does a Tax Intern do?

Our major responsibility as Tax Interns is to support professional tax preparers and assist with general office duties. We take up financial and accounting responsibilities, including preparing federal, state, and international tax filings. Our work range includes working with accountants, CPAs, enrolled agents, or other tax professionals and deliver reports to the senior staff members. As Tax Interns, our duties includes analyzing data, using tax software, and working directly with clients. We are usually required to enroll in a bachelorโ€™s degree program in accounting, finance, business, or information technology to qualify as Tax Interns. Our goal is to derive quality experience and expertise after our tenure as Interns is over.

Core tasks:

  • prepare individual income tax returns
  • assist with components of corporate tax return preparation.
  • assist with tax planning for various types of clients
  • assist with preparation of payroll tax reporting
