What does a Tax Manager do?

We are skilled professionals who blend leadership and management skills with tax expertise. As tax managers, we are well versed in international, federal, state and local tax laws. Our major responsibility is to maintain excellent relationship with our clients by ensuring that their tax records are clean without altering their financial stability. By working hand in hand with executive management of businesses and firms, we make use of our expert knowledge in tax laws in managing our clients tax procedures by creating and implementing tax risk strategies and policies that are in accordance with these regulations while maximizing the profits of our clients. We are also responsible for analyzing tax reports and ensuring that the numbers are accurate.

Core tasks:

  • full understanding and knowledge of tax laws
  • prepare tax returns for clients
  • creative development of tax plan/ strategies
  • analyze and interpret tax reports.
  • proficient utilization of accounting software (e.g. Intuit QuickBooks), email software (e.g. Microsoft Outlook), and spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
