About Tax Preparer

What does a Tax Preparer do?

We, Tax Preparers, are qualified professionals who calculate, file and sign income tax returns on behalf of individuals and businesses. This is done by taking our client’s financial information, filing and completing their taxes, and providing tax advice. We maintain warm relationship with our clients by assisting them with general tax forms and defending taxpayers with the IRS, which includes audits and tax court issues. We partner with the Internal Revenue Service in ensuring that the taxpayers comply with state and federal tax codes. Our level of expertise can be vouched for by our sound mathematical skills, digital skills, communication skills as well as organizational skills.

Core tasks:

  • prepare and file tax forms
  • provide professional support to taxpayers in tax related issues
  • represent the IRS to ensure complicity with tax rules
  • effective use of accounting software (e.g. Intuit QuickBooks), email software (e.g. Microsoft Outlook), and spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
