As Technical Illustrators, we are responsible for converting complex technical concepts into simple and clear illustrations as per project requirements. We consult with project managers and customers to determine project needs. We create, design, and develop technical publications both in printed and electronic form. Overseeing technical information about the feasibility of design is also part of our duty. We identify issues and limitations. We devise ways to overcome these hindrances. Working as Technical Illustrators, we are responsible for organizing and managing conversions of artwork into editable illustrations. We brainstorm and conceptualize new ideas for product development. Finally, we manage external vendors and associated costs within assigned budgetary limits.
