About Technical Marketing Manager

What does a Technical Marketing Manager do?

The technical marketing manager job title may mean two different things. Some of us manage marketing activities for organizations that sell technical products, solutions, and services. Others are marketing professionals focusing on the technical side of marketing campaigns, such as marketing automation, digital marketing strategies, and more. In any case, we need to have some technical expertise aside from the traditional marketing skill set. In the first case, to be able to evangelize our company’s products to a technical-minded audience, while in the second, to be able to create and run effective digital campaigns, handle databases, and troubleshoot issues.

Core tasks:

  • developing and implementing digital media campaigns
  • creating reports
  • conducting market research
  • creating and delivering marketing materials, campaigns, demos, etc. for technical products
