About Technical Services Manager

What does a Technical Services Manager do?

As Technical Services Managers, we maintain, repair information technology systems, ensure work operations conform to acceptable standards of quality service, assign work duties to computer and networking systems operators to meet clients' requirements. We supervise technical operations as performed by programmers and IT support experts to ensure company/client targets are met and develop policies and strategies to resolve critical technical or procedural issues. As Technical Services Managers, collaborate with the information technology service managers to develop and implement plans to deliver effective technical services and conduct assessments to ensure that software and hardware components are up-to-date and negotiate with the technical staff to maintain utility upgrades.

Core tasks:

  • organize technical staff operations to ensure proper resolution of company/client problems
  • hands-on issue training to technical staff to ensure a competent and effective workforce
  • prepare and implement policies and procedures for the performance of work operations
  • maintain the availability of work tools, machine, and other necessary equipment required for the performance of job duties
  • organize periodic inspections to ensure the efficient performance of work equipment and systems
