What does a Technology Manager do?

As Technology Managers, we oversee the planning, maintenance, and operation of information systems and meet with management to discuss how information technology (IT) can help an organization achieve its goals. The Technology Managers train end-users of software and databases, lead tech support teams, oversee hardware and software installation, and integrate various information systems for purposes ranging from telecommunications to data management. Technology Managers implement and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures to ensure data security, network access, and backup systems. As Technology Managers, we align with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy, identify problematic areas, and implement strategic solutions in time.
