I worked for TEKSystems at two different locations in Kentucky and One in Indiana. The staffing agents were efficient, honest, and caring. They were as interested in my happiness in my position as they were their clients' happiness. If I asked to be reassigned they worked hard to make it happen. They kept in contact with me throughout the entire length of my stay. We lunched occasionally and they wanted to make sure that I was happy and productive in my job. I even received a Christmas present from my staffing agent when I was working in Indiana. TEKSystems is a quality staffing company and one that I would be happy to work with at any time.

Pros and Cons
Quality staffing agents, communicative, ingterested in your happiness.
I really cannot think of a negative.

My experience at teksystems was a nightmare. I was overworked and way underpaid to say the least. The culture was beyond miserable and toxic. I wasn’t allowed to use my PTO. The office managers would purposely pit recruiters against each other for “friendly competition.” Please spare yourself from this horrible company.

I was recruited through TEKsystems to work for Horne on ERAP for California. It did take a good month before I started training, which was not cool. Then when starting training they kept cutting back hours. I saw how there was not enough work as promised, and instead of having a customer service job, it suddenly turned into a data entry job. If you want to even call it that! We were to double-check other persons work and the number of cases that were available did not even add up to enough work for one day of the class I was in. This happened to be 295 people at first. After I made that clear, all of a sudden my computer had major IT difficulties, so riddle me this one batman, was it on purpose, or my fault? Leaning real far to the side I was booted out because I wasn't an idiot. My case is sealed by the fact California was suspending many programs at this time because they also defaulted and are now $32billion in debt. I can bounce back, those people cant.

Pros and Cons
They sent me a piece of crap computer.
My recruiter was the best.

Very knowledgable recruiters with a massive database of opportunities, world-wide. Recruiters are helpful in the marketplace and understand business needs of each opportunity. Periodic breakfast, lunch, or after-work drinks to share with other employees who are consulting in the same or like business opportunities. Nice place to work, as they are interested in each person and their potentials.

While working in a team environment the supervisors would recognize your work and compliment you, but if another employee is looking for "brownie points," and bash your earnest good work, those other employees would tell the same supervisor that appraised your work, and that supervisor will take their word over reality.

Pros and Cons
flexibility and good pay.
The lack of leadership skills and supervisors listen to hearsay.

TEK is a temp agency, providing staff to a number of companies. I worked for TEK with the work being done at Jeppesen, a Boeing company. TEK was outstanding. Good communication and they cared about the staff. Not always that way with Jeppesen, as Jepp treated the temp people as indentured labor. So, when Jepp saw any budget issues, the temps suffered. And, temps were expendable, meaning, they could work you hard and let you go.

Pros and Cons
Excellent communication
Temp agency. Dependent on the bigger company for the work and longevity.

Tek systems was a good place to be when I got laid off from my job. Although I don’t think the People don’t quite understand what we have to deal with at work. It was ok. They don’t seem to understand the difference between someone who is a License Technician and an apprentice. My point is that a License Technician should be PAID and Treated as someone who has Earned the time , Schooling and effort to earn the Technician License. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked for Tek Systems and I pray the Company keeps growing and gets better as time passes. May The Grace of The Lord Jesus Christ be with you All…! God bless ✝️❤️🙏

They managed to place me in several positions that had far from the best understanding of what they were needing. Wound up doing more desktop support than system administion or even work when it came to migrating systems. When I did do migrations, it iwas from 2003 to 2008 and the systems were upgraded to 2015 and 2019 - from databases to Adobe Websites. They worked like a champ.
