1. Receives cash and checks for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records. 2. Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances. 3. Promotes and explains other financial institution services such as certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, and cashiers checks. 4. Responsible for issuing and reloading gift cards, redeeming savings bonds, and repining debit cards. 5. Responsible for proof processing, balancing, and corrections. 6. Receives payments and enters them into the computer. Generates customer receipts. 7. Counts, checks, and packages coins and currency. 8. Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Reports and discrepancies to supervisor as necessary. 9. Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc. 10. Responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the financial institutions forms. 11. Delivers a level of customer service that exceeds the expectations of the customer in all transactions. 12. Completes special projects as requested. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: At least 1 year of Customer Service Experience. One year of work experience with cash handling. Ability to communicate with customers by speaking clearly. Ability to learn new computer programs and navigate through different programs. Ability to demonstrate reliable attendance and able to work independently. Experience in handling stressful situations and a fast-paced environment.
