Texas A&M University was founded in 1876 as the state's first public institution of higher learning centre located in the heart of the Houston-Dallas-Austin triangle. The main campus of Texas A&M University is at College Station with nearly 69,000 students at Aggieland home, and another 5,200 are studying at branch campuses in Galveston, Texas, and Doha, Qatar. Texas A&M have a strong military tradition and its maximum aggies are selected as commission officers into the U.S. Armed Forces than any other university outside of the U.S. military academies every year. The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum is located within the campus of this research-intensive flagship university. With 133 undergraduate degree programs, 175 master's degree programs, 92 doctoral degree programs and 5 first professional degrees, the Texas A&M University endeavours to become world-class university of the future while combining knowledge, research, and innovation with depth and breadth to achieve.
