As Textile Designers, we create updated textile designs that are relevant and trending while upholding the aesthetics of the company. We develop new designs from concept to production based on guided direction. We work with the design manager to further refine and develop existing styles, contribute to discussions on design iterations, and help other designers with projects as necessary, and create cohesive files that work cross-departmentally for an omnichannel approach to brand engagement. Additionally, we prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, and we work with the design and fabric teams to develop original, on-brand apparel graphics, fabric and surface prints, full coverage prints, stripes, sweater patterns, embroidery and wash developments.
Core tasks:
- identify key seasonal graphics and color trends through market research and analysis
- develop artwork prints from conceptual ideation phase to final production and execution
- interpret sales data analysis to design iterations of top-performing graphics
- create and manage seasonal artwork production files: size and scale, color allocation, file separations, creating placement and seamless artwork repeats
- handle art and graphics projects related to design advantages, marketing advantages, and seasonal needs
