I opened the store in Yonker NY in 2012 in cross county then after a year other stores needed help due to lack of management so I relocated for the company to Connecticut and worked in two stores one in Hamden and the other in Orange. After a year of training other managers I relocated back to NY with the same company BRIAD GROUP and worked in the Gun Hill location in the Bronx.

Pros and Cons
Great pay, fun environment to work in.

I had a great journey with my Fridays crew. I'll never find a job quite like it. From day one, I was treated like I belonged, that for me was good enough. My crew was amazing, my bosses were amazing, and most importantly, my store was the cleanest restaurant I've ever worked before. I love my Fridays.

fun, laid back, discounted food

When I worked at this location, I was hired as one of the original staff that was their for it's grand opening. As a new restaurant in a town that was semi-rural at the time, the location was always busy for the first 9 months it was open. Lines out the door, long waits to sit & orders take forever as new staff learns a menu and works to build teamwork. Luckily the company does have a program where employees from other establishments throughout the country are flown out and provided accommodations until the store can function on it's own. So that definitely helps. Most management staff worked at other Friday's and/or have prior experience that built a great foundation for this location. I was only here for over a year before I moved on to another job, but the business ran well until the pandemic started. I wish it didn't because I still went here periodically before it's closure.

Pros and Cons
Discounted Meals During Shifts & Discount on your bill at any location when not working.
No employee break room, long shifts

Training was very good. Went to a different property and worked there for two weeks. Had almost two weeks of training before our property opened. Some manager's had good people skills and some didn't. The company provided any tools that we needed to accomplish out jobs. The company was very focused on maintaining predetermined numbers from food-cost to labor numbers. Hours were hard to handle. I had two split shifts every week. Only lasted 1 1/2 years because of that. Left to take a position with a company that had set hours. That was very important. Took a $2.50 hour drop in salary to get steady hours. Co-workers were nice as were some managers.

Pros and Cons
Training was very good. Managers, some had very good people skills and some didn't. T
Some Managers were too concerned about the bottom line and not the employee.

It was almost as if they didn’t care about their employees. It was always hard to contact managers about situations and we’d have to buy our own food to eat while there. There are never good tips either.
