The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) is a San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit charitable membership organization for lawyers, law students, and legal professionals. BASF, which was established in 1872, has more than 7,500 supporters, including law firms, corporate legal departments, and law schools. It does so through its board of directors, boards, task forces, and community involvement. BASF serves as a unified forum for public advocacy, promotes professional development and education, and strives to raise the bar for legal ethics, and respect. They have a relaxed work culture and a collaborative, diverse work climate. They value a balanced work-life balance, which is why their workers work a 35-hour workweek. HMO and PPO medical plans and dental and vision insurance are also part of their benefits package.
