The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (also known as The Cosmopolitan or The Cosmo) is a luxurious resort casino and restaurant located in Paradise, Nevada, on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort opened on December 15, 2010, and is based in the western side of Las Vegas Boulevard, just south of the Bellagio. The Boulevard Tower and the Chelsea Tower, both of which are 184 meters (603 feet) tall, make up the complex. The $3.9 billion project includes 3,027 suites, a 110,000-square-foot (10,000-square-meter) casino,[4] 300,000-square-foot (28,000-square-meter) retail and restaurant space, a 40,000-square-foot (3,700-square-meter) spa and fitness center, a 3,200-seat theater, and 150,000-square-foot (14,000-square-meter) conference and conference facilities. The hotel was named 'The Best Hotel in the World' by Gogobot and 'Top Hotels in the World' on the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
