Working at Disney was my dream job. Unfortunately, the reality was very different for me than my expectations of days spent creating magic for a new generation. I found a company stuck in the past, with no clear vision of how to effectively move forward. Long-time employees are desperate to maintain the status quo and newcomers are afraid to say anything for fear of being fired.

Pros and Cons
Free admission to the parks.
There is a culture of fear. People are disposable.

This work environment was extremely covertly hostile. You have to be extremely careful on everything you say or do as it is scrutinized.

Pros and Cons
Great break room
Please note the body of the review says it all.

It’s all about illusions at Disneyland. The entire business is a show set- inside and out. The powers that be promise you shiny things and never deliver. Don’t expect much in terms of job growth and career development. The only way one moves up is if someone else dies, retires, or leaves. You cannot progress past certain levels unless you’re well liked in Florida and work a stretch there first. The whole company is based on nepotism and a good-ol-boys club. They preach a message of progressive and inclusive values, but the real operating qualities are the exact opposite.

Pros and Cons
Guest passes, discounts, and free tickets
Hypocrisy, politics, lack of movement and career development, terrible HR

Excited to share disney magic love and positivity. Seeing people smile and making them feel like if they're at the park , also bringing a little bit of Disneyland theme parks to the store was a huge success.

Pros and Cons
Friendly office, cast members, guest
Little hours
