In 1969, Wendy was founded by Dave Thomas in Columbus, Ohio. The company is famous for its hamburgers using fresh beef and freshly prepared salads with lettuce and for items like chili, baked potatoes, and the Frosty dessert. Wendy and its franchisees have over 6,700 restaurants across the world with thousands of employees committed to becoming the world’s beloved restaurant brand. The company created the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA). The DTFA is a public, non-profit charity in the United States that focuses on care adoption. Each year, ten Wendy’s employees are rewarded with a $2,500 grant for their volunteer work for the community. Out of ten, one is honored as Wendy’s Ambassador of the Year and granted an additional $10,000. Wendy launch mobile app. for ordering, payment, and delivery to meet the demands of consumers. The Wendy has received Gold Winner of the Enduring Impact Award from International Franchise Association.
