About Therapeutic Staff Support

What does a Therapeutic Staff Support do?

As Therapeutic Staff Supports, we primarily work with young clients following the recommended treatment plans. Our duties include, keeping in mind the treatment plans, assisting children to avoid unacceptable behavior, provide emotional support to children, encouraging social interaction, helping children's families and caregivers, and participating in group activities. Depending on the specific needs of children, we assist them to manage anger, encourage them to avoid harmful behavior in society, preventing the children from hitting or fighting others, and increase the attention given to children assigned to us. We ensure healthy relationships among children, improve their life skills, and offer incentives to them.

Core tasks:

  • assisting children to adopt acceptable behaviour in the society
  • encouraging social interaction
  • providing children with emotional support
  • helping the children's caregivers and families
