About Third Grade Teacher

What does a Third Grade Teacher do?

As Third Grade Teachers, we are responsible for assigning homework, developing lesson plans, grading tests, keeping in touch with studentsā€™ parents, and reporting to school administrators. We establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom we are responsible. Also, we should observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health and prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.

Core tasks:

  • adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
  • planning and conducting activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that
  • instructing students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations
  • establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
