About Tire Builder

What does a Tire Builder do?

As Tire Builders, we operate machineries and assist in building tires. Our responsibilities include start rollers that bond piles and tread, cutting piles at splice points, activate bead setters, and evaluating worn tires for faults. We also handle building semi-raw rubber treads onto buffed tire casings and starting drums to wind treads onto piles. As Tire Builders, we ensure compliance with quality standards and safety policies. We coordinate with other technical colleagues in our regular doings.

Core tasks:

  • inspecting worn tires for cracks, defects, and cuts
  • checking out tires to see if they are suitable for optimal function
  • cutting plies at splice spots, and form continuous bands
  • depressing wheels to rotate drums, and make tire bodies
