As Tissue Recovery Technicians, we are tasked with surgically removing, storing, and transporting human tissues from deceased organ and tissue donors in accordance with the hospital’s protocols and guidelines. We also coordinate with the hospitals’ transportation department as well as with emergency aerial transportation to ensure that each tissue is delivered on time before it dies. We rush to organ/tissue donors either in hospitals, funeral homes, or Coroner‘s offices to collect the organs/tissues after checking for theirs’ and their families’ consent to do so.
