Tooling Engineer

As Tooling Engineers we create designs for machinery in an engineering company. We are responsible to craft conceptual designs for tools and mechanical parts by using CAD software. We are the role players in the manufacturing team of a company. Improving existing designs and creating new ones, and producing blueprints for mechanical tools is our responsibility. We are also tasked with the delivery of technical support to customers. Working in collaboration with Engineers and manufacturing staff, we report to senior engineers and managers.

Core tasks:

• use CAD and AutoCAD software to analyze and enhance the designs
• develop blueprints for novel designs while complying with the requirements and policies of the company
• share and discuss designs with the engineering teams
• develop prototypes and test the novel tooling designs
• incorporate quality assurance tests
