Founded in 1866, Towson University (TU) is a well-known regional public university in the country. It offers over 100 bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs in the arts, sciences, and professional fields. With more than 23,000 students, Towson University is not only among the largest universities in the prestigious University System of Maryland, but also the largest public university systems in the United States.
