Would you like to join Fortune 8 CVS Health leading our dynamic and growing client services support team? You will have the opportunity to utilize your financial or clinical acumen to drive value based contracting strategies and strategies and assessments in areas of treatment complexity.
The Trade Relations Client Support, Executive Advisor role is a highly visible with CVS Health leadership, responsible for driving strategies in new areas to minimize client drug spend. You will be expected to analyze, research, and prepare presentations and recommendations for leadership in areas including health outcomes generally, and oncology and gene therapy specifically.
You will work with multiple internal (i.e. Trade Negotiators, Medical Affairs, Product), and external (manufacturer) partners to establish relationships and articulate potential management strategies with a deep understanding of utilization and cost patterns that underlie them. You will assist CVS Health in working with Trade leadership to meeting financial management goals, including rebate generation. This is an outstanding opportunity with exposure to leadership; and a chance to create strong partnerships.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
-Assisting with strategic initiatives, including working in a cross functional team environment on multiple projects at a time and handling needs from the Trade Relations organization.
-Partnering with Trade negotiators and analytic and finance teams to characterize and develop strategies in and understand of complex therapeutic areas, using health economic analyses to identify new formulary-related strategies and programs. Analyses will move beyond simple unit cost to assess patient level data, identifying usage and practice patterns at a class, drug and condition specific level.
-Act as a Trade Relations lead for value based and innovating contracting (VBC) initiatives, interacting with Trade negotiators, manufacturers and internal colleagues (clinical, operational, finance and analytic)
-Proactively drive development of new VBC programs and strategies, as well as assess and implement externally proposed VBCs
-Prioritize new and existing opportunities based on viability and relative merit
-Track and communicate the performance of existing VBC initiatives and monitor the competitive landscape
- Role scope includes approved and pipeline products in specialty and non-specialty categories.
-Travel up to 25% of the time.
**Required Qualifications**
- 8 or more years of professional work experience; preferably in healthcare, managed care, health plans, or PBM with a focus on financial strategy and client relations.
**Preferred Qualifications**
-Minimum 8 years' experience with pharmacy benefit management, health plans rebates, drug spend and/or formulary strategies.
-MBA or Pharmacist Licensure.
-Management consultant experience.
-Project management or health care consulting experience
-Demonstrated track record of success with analytic projects or product development
-Experience in conducting health outcomes analyses (e.g., budget impact, cost effectiveness) and/or value based contracts
-Strategic vision, creativity and critical thinking ability
-Experience in handling multiple client/stakeholder relationships to include direct contact with key decision makers.
-Presentation and public speaking experience
**Education**
Bachelors degree required; preferably in pharmacy, business, finance or economics required. Advanced degree preferred.
