I worked for trane for 5 years, 1 as a temp. I was hired as a Brazer, with the expectation that I would be moved around. Not a problem. However; after needing to be out on medical, when I returned I was under a new manager and treated poorly, there is a great deal of family working in the same department and family not experience getting ahead.

Pros and Cons
The work itself is challenging but enjoyable.
Too much nepetism

I was a forklift operater and then went to parts operater. There are different stations and you learn those stations you can either stay there or learn something else....They have welding classes so you can become a welder.....Loved how they had so many choices to choose from so you can find where you belonged. Great place to work for...

Pros and Cons
Excelling, The people, Learning how to weld

Culture and Values
I started working at Trane when I was 19 years old. I learned about a whole different world of production and manufacturing as well as being a part of system where people enoyed doing what they liked and making the consumers happy with the products we produced. It was the best company I have worked for. I worked with other individuals who came to work and did their best every day and never took advantage of it. Nowadays, people don't come to work just because and when they do come, make every excuse as to why they dont want to do their jobs. Its all because they don't feel like they were any value to the company. Working at Trane, I never saw these things in these individuals. They came to work religiously and always excelled at what they did... Since the company was bought from Ingersoll Rand, they downsized and moved the company, but did not want to keep the greatness that we brought to the company. I have not worked with a company where I see these same characteristics in people.

Pros and Cons
Benefits, opportunity to grow in company, pay, people with same work ethics
Long work hours, downsizing the company
