We transcriptionists listen to voice recordings that physicians and other healthcare professionals make and convert the audio recordings into written reports. We interpret and transcribe dictated information, perform editing on drafts, and submit completed transcripts for approval by physicians. We also review and edit medical documents created using speech recognition technology. We are sometimes tasked with entering medical reports into electronic health record systems. Transcribing medical reports, summaries, office visit notes and other medical documents from recorded messages from health care providers is our role as transcriptionists. We likewise examine transcription documents for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact patient care and medical liability.
Core tasks:

- review and edit medical documents
