About Tutor

What does a Tutor do?

As Tutors, we are responsible for scheduling tutoring appointments with parents and students and arriving on time and prepared for the day's lesson. We also create educational materials to further demonstrate subject matter to be covered in tutoring sessions. We have to assess the progress of assigned students to ensure effective processes and plan creative lessons to engage and educate students. Besides, we maintain a quiet and orderly workspace for students within the tutoring space.

Core tasks:

  • establishing a friendly, encouraging and welcoming environment for students upon their entering of the establishment
  • connecting with parents and keep them informed of student's progress and areas to be improved
  • promoting high standards for academic success and behavior and continually encourage students to meet them
  • ensuring that if any changes need to be made to meeting times, that it is done in a reasonable time frame
  • creating educational materials to further demonstrate subject matter to be covered in tutoring sessions
