Working at Tyson Foods was very emotional and stressful. I gave them 18+ years of my life. As a manager my job was to protect the team members but everytime I stepped up to unsafe behaviors I was reported to HR that I was singling them out or being agressive. Hard to address unsafe behaviors if you can't talk to the person about it. Did not matter how I approached them, they all got offended. Maybe someday safety will be the number one priority.

Pros and Cons
Pay and benefits
No recognition of job well done.

Absolutely the best place I have ever worked! Yes it was stressful at times and the demands were a lot at times. However, culture is amazing. I came to love these people. Promotion within the company is readily available for those who work hard. I was there for 16 months and had two promotions.

Pros and Cons
Immediate benefits, one week vacation after 6 months, floating holidays, and ETL
Stressful at times, heavy workload

Toxic Plant Environment: Poor Organizational Structure & Leadership Training The plant environment I experienced was marred by toxic management practices stemming from a flawed organizational structure and insufficient leadership training. Hierarchies were rigid, stifling communication and collaboration. Decision-making was centralized, causing delays and missed opportunities. Unfortunately, leaders lacked the necessary skills to guide and support their teams, resulting in micromanagement and dissatisfaction. Fear and stress permeated the workplace, hindering creativity and productivity. To remedy this, restructuring the hierarchy for transparency and autonomy, along with investing in comprehensive leadership training, is crucial. A healthier, more productive work environment can be fostered by addressing these issues head-on.

Pros and Cons
Free lunch
Toxic work enviroment

I really enjoyed working 3rd shift at Tyson on Tyler Road in Russellville. Coworkers and Management were very nice to me and helped me to get trained on alot of areas quickly. I made alot of friendships along with meeting alot of other people that I would be able to build relationships with. Overall as long as you stay out of others business and relationships, it is a great place to work. Pay and benefits are good. Jobs there are easy.

Pros and Cons
Pay and benefits, friends, and unlimited opportunities.
Depending on what shift.. work life balance

My role at Tyson Foods was great until my team became the team that was passed around from org to org with no appropriate knowledge of my team’s function. We were pushed to the side and mostly forgotten about. I spent the last two years on my team with no direct leadership, no goals, no strategy, no vision, no top level down communication, no growth, no support and no chance at all for advancement. Also, don’t ask too many questions about what’s going on with the team and why there’s no leadership…you may lose your job for it.

Pros and Cons
There’s a cafeteria.
No parking, no chance for advancement, long hours that end with unapproved work.

Pros and Cons
On traveling when you traveling, the expenses they never gave you enough money

I was one of the first employee's to start up the plant in Vienna Ga in 1994. It started under another na.e and a year later Tyson Foods bought them out i worked at that facility for almost 10 years until relocating. During that time the pay was pretty good but today i hear it's much better and all of the benefits was great and are still in place today. So i would like to try Tyson again today. The Moto use to be Feeding u like Family. It may be the same today.

Pros and Cons
Close parking for employee of the month
Theres really none that i could think of.

It's a ok place to work, if you don't like drama and a stressful job then this isn't the job for you, also the hours are long and you spend alot of time away from home. Your work life becomes your home life. Pay is decent, you can aquire alot of overtime which is nice. Working inside the plant is not a job for the ladies. Etc

Pros and Cons
Get 4 paid personal days and FMLA and weeks paid vacation after a year.
No roll over point system you get 10 points your gone no matter time spent with the company, hours
