About This Role: Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina seeks applications for a full-time faculty member in Aviation Maintenance Management to join its Department of Aviation. Principles of Community . What You'll Need to Succeed:Minimum Qualifications: - Masters Degree in Aviation or closely related field
- FAA Mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
- Three (3) years minimum technical experience in the aviation maintenance industry
Preferred Qualifications: - Three (3) years minimum successful teaching experience in higher education in an FAA Part 147 program
- Earned doctorate in a relevant discipline (for tenure track appointment)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment and with students, faculty, and administration
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
- NCATT Aviation Electronics Technician
- FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License
- Ability to connect to the aviation industry
Other Requirements: - Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
- Applicants must meet accreditation credential requirements to teach college courses
