About Ultrasound Technologist

What does an Ultrasound Technologist do?

As ultrasound technologists, we operate equipment that utilizes high-frequency sound waves to get the images of internal organs. We also assist health doctors as well as other professionals in diagnosing the patient’s ailments. Record the test results, inspect and maintain the radiological equipment, and ensuring the required supplies are some of our core duties. We also ensure the strictest levels of confidentiality. We provide live and real-time images of the organs and blood vessels which are impossible to detect with other imaging techniques.

Core tasks:

  • prepare the exam room and ultrasonic equipment
  • record and recognize proper anatomy by utilizing sonographic equipment
  • ensure the safety of the patient as well as other staff members while scanning the patient’s body
  • prepare the reports based on the results and completion
