As Underwriting Assistants, we provide assistance as required by the underwriting unit. We work to support renewal and new business activities. It is our duty to gather and organize information and reports (e.g., loss runs, risk assessments) that support the underwriting decision. We assist the Underwriter with the computation of rates and premiums. We are responsible for collecting and analyzing underwriting information. Managing workflow queues and conducting timely reviews are part of our job. We assist in managing performance-based renewal underwriting programs, claim underwriting notices, and others.
