Job DescriptionThe O365 Unified Communications (UC) Operations Engineer is primarily responsible for implementations and supporting operations for a new Microsoft Teams environment at Sabre. This includes all aspects of managing Teams and Direct Routing services in O365, audio and video conferencing, and proactive monitoring using call quality dashboards. The role will also support other O365 collaboration tools, room-based Audio / Video systems and some desktop services tools in an operational capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Microsoft Teams Direct Routing voice deployment across global office locations
Partner with vendors to proactively troubleshoot operational issues throughout the deployment and steady state
Manage cert and production changes for Microsoft Teams and other O365 products
Analyze and report call analytics using the Call Quality Dashboard
Proactively monitor and manage Microsoft Teams Rooms Systems
Deploy and test voice and video hardware in a lab environment
Help analyze, define and recommend UC service improvements
Engage with peers to help adoption of Microsoft Teams
Manage the CMDB within Service Now for O365 and corresponding services and hardware
Manage global telecommunication circuit inventory
Establish, maintain and promote engineering documentation standards
Support Distributed File systems, SCCM and Cyber Ark services
Essential Experience and Technical Skills:
7+ years Skype for Business experience and recent experience with Microsoft Teams
7+ years engineering experience with AudioCodes or Ribbon hardware
VoiP codec, SIP, SCCP, H.323, ISDN, TDM and QoS experience
Advanced understanding of LAN/WAN and call routing
5+ years Skype or Teams Room Systems engineering and implementation experience
5+ years using PowerShell scripting
Managing Microsoft support cases
O365 Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Azure product knowledge
Configuration and administrative experience of Active Directory
Desired knowledge of Cisco voice and video conferencing solutions
Desired knowledge of Webex conferencing services
Desired understanding of the wider Microsoft product stack including Office 365
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
