University of California, Berkeley is a public research university which is in Berkeley, California. The University was established in 1868 as the state’s first land-grant university. It is one of the ancient campuses of the University of California system and an instituting member of the Universities of American Association. The University engages around 2,500 faculty and registers around 31,000 undergraduate and 12,000 graduate students among its 14 colleges.
