University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a health science university founded in 1864. UCSF is the leading university exclusively focused on health ensuring people in need are getting access to the best treatment, its medical centres are located at Parnassus, Mount Zion and Mission Bay. This public medical research centre is today a part of 10 campuses out of which this one is dedicated for graduation and professional education. UCSF offers 19 Ph.D programs and 11 master’s programs to 3,100 students and 1,200 postdoctoral scholars. Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy are its four professional schools. Educational programs in addition to DDS programs include post graduate , Ph.D and residency programs. The Global Health Sciences program of UCSF includes more than 70 faculty in each school. UCSF has 3,400 faculty and 22,400 staff members consisting of dedicated scientists and clinicians. The University encourages students to have a spirit of inquiry, critical thinking and to approach health care issues
