The University of Indianapolis was established in 1902 and started operating as Indiana Central University. Between 1921 to 1975, the university operated under the name Indiana Central College before changing to the University of Indianapolis in 1986. Its main campus is located on the south of Indianapolis along 1400 East Hanna Avenue. The University offers the following levels of studies; bachelor's, Masters, Associate's, and Doctorate degrees. The university has produced several scholars globally who have performed well in their fields of expertise. The student-tutor relationship is friendly as many students have benefitted from capacity-building and mentor programs offered in the institution.
