UPS gives opportunities for individuals for all applicants that want a staple and financial stability. I have worked for UPS in different locations and different departments for over 25 years. Their seasonal employment opportunities give an individual opportunity to make extra financial stability, and have a commitment to continue this opportunities each year. It’s a great way to keep a team motivated to work hard and keep a strong commitment to customer service.

Is a good place to work especially if you need part-time work. But you have to work a lot hard but if you don't mind working hard you can it's a pretty good check for for part-time work.

Pros and Cons
The health insurance and dental insurance is pretty much the best.
Sometimes you do have to deal with people who are not the best.

I started working at the Lawnsidse ups warehouse in New Jersey. When i applied it took about 15 minutes on a response, they replied to me with a confirmation email that I got the job. I then went about 1 week later for the first tour and classroom session. After 2 class sessions I started work my butt off for about 9 months. I learned the ins and outs within the for 3 months. At the beginning of the fourth month I received a message from my manager explaining that I would be taking on a bigger role as they were about to cut people after seasonal ended. One my role changed i acted as if I was a mini supervisor I was training people and teaching my whole team how to work smarter and not harder and i did that for 5 more months and I started to barely revive hours only because there was not much work but overall i loved that job and I wish I never left.

Pros and Cons
Most people are nice and usually always teach you or help.

I was a personal vehicle driver for the 2022 peak season. It was super fun all the supervisors are really really nice. The pay is great $34hr. And average $2200 a week before taxes. No benefits for seasonal positions. The job is from late October to middle January. Once you get the hang of it which shouldn’t take longer than 1 week it’s super easy. You don’t get a uniform but do get a snazzy UPS vest. They pay 62 cents a mile and you work anywhere from 7-12 hours depending on how much you want to work. I would highly recommend working here

My local management and the union are supportive & it's an honor to work with them. They & UPS local HR have done their best to help me correct a mistake UPS made on my W-2 for 2020, which has led to false tax debt. Local HR are unable to access basic HR services to employees, a choice made by upper corporate management, who apparently don't care & don't want to hear from employees.

I began at UPS with the highest hopes and great excitement to try something new. I was sold by the fact you make 17$ an hr which was better than my last. Also to have the option to work time and a half, receive benefits in the future. I became a truck loader, then graduated to pick sorter. As a pick sort i felt very important and valuable to the job. I memorized the cities, states, and worked with quality and pace. However eventually as months went by they started to cut my hours, they took me off pick, constantly move me around instead of letting me grow comfortable with a certain position. Around holiday season when bills are around the corner they don’t let you work overtime, the supervisors cut hours to save up every penny for themselves. On top of that, i’ve been given tasks where im stressed and dealing with heavy loads for the past weeks, while other people i work with get an easier job that we are all capable of doing. i never get an easy day and get paid like crap

Pros and Cons
Sometimes you do get free lunch, and you get to bring your music

Very good company for benefits, salary and overall compensation. However, you will be working long hours and most holidays. I do not recommend if family and a work life balance is a priority.

If You're a minority then UPS is not the place for you. They've got a terrible culture and if you're not apart of the "good ol' boy's club" there is no hope for growth in the company! Would not recommend this job for anybody!
