I was a personal vehicle driver for the 2022 peak season. It was super fun all the supervisors are really really nice. The pay is great $34hr. And average $2200 a week before taxes. No benefits for seasonal positions. The job is from late October to middle January. Once you get the hang of it which shouldn’t take longer than 1 week it’s super easy. You don’t get a uniform but do get a snazzy UPS vest. They pay 62 cents a mile and you work anywhere from 7-12 hours depending on how much you want to work. I would highly recommend working here

My local management and the union are supportive & it's an honor to work with them. They & UPS local HR have done their best to help me correct a mistake UPS made on my W-2 for 2020, which has led to false tax debt. Local HR are unable to access basic HR services to employees, a choice made by upper corporate management, who apparently don't care & don't want to hear from employees.

Pros and Cons
Extraordinary benefits for part-time employees, which the Teamsters have likely fought to maintain

I began at UPS with the highest hopes and great excitement to try something new. I was sold by the fact you make 17$ an hr which was better than my last. Also to have the option to work time and a half, receive benefits in the future. I became a truck loader, then graduated to pick sorter. As a pick sort i felt very important and valuable to the job. I memorized the cities, states, and worked with quality and pace. However eventually as months went by they started to cut my hours, they took me off pick, constantly move me around instead of letting me grow comfortable with a certain position. Around holiday season when bills are around the corner they don’t let you work overtime, the supervisors cut hours to save up every penny for themselves. On top of that, i’ve been given tasks where im stressed and dealing with heavy loads for the past weeks, while other people i work with get an easier job that we are all capable of doing. i never get an easy day and get paid like crap

Pros and Cons
Sometimes you do get free lunch, and you get to bring your music
Take advantage of you, disrespect, racism, horrible pay for heavy work
