Network Manager/Technician
Dublin, CA - October 11, 2022
Since my first day in the U.S. Army Reserve, I have been truly challenged, and for my efforts, I was rewarded for exceeding those challenges. i was lucky to have some of the best leadership to work for/with. All they did was point me in a direction, and I was off and running. I was so lucky to be assigned to two of the biggest HighTech locations on this earth (Silicon Valley and Lawrence Livermore Labs) which afforded me the ability to work beside giants in their respective fields that worked at these two locations within the civilian workforce. I was truly surrounded by greatness and intelligence. If you have ever questioned whether to incorporate the reserves into your professional career, DO IT! By doing so, it will be one of the best decisions you will ever make towards your long-term goals, believe me, doors will open for you, as they did for me.
Pros and Cons
It helped in elevating my professional civilian career.
Sometimes the military will need you to fulfill an important mission for global betterment.

Texas City, TX - June 1, 2022
Great place to start in life after high school. If you are not sure what you want to do with your life. The military allows and affords you the place and time to figure that out. Not to mention they will pay you while you are learning. Especially in the Army. I got my nursing degree for free and was receiving a paycheck while attending college. No civilian company does that. And if you stay in for 20 or more years you continue to get your paycheck for the rest of your life, as well as full medical care.
Pros and Cons
Free room and board
Very hard work physically and mentally.
