Business was slow due to Covid, and the Bank traffic was slow. Yes I went in everyday during the pandemic. We changed managers, and the new manager did not like old people, so he let me go.Those were his words. They advertise themselves as the most ethical company in the US banking community...did not see anything like that. But..if they had not terminated me I would still be there. I would work there again if asked.

Pros and Cons
None.. except financial stability as a company
poor culture, not traditional bank environment...always short staffed.

For 4 years I worked in a customer facing role with many duties and I loved it!! Our branch closed and the branch that I went to had a very clickie group and made my life a living hell. I decided to switch to a remote role which also was amazing at first, but after a year of being with the same group of people they just transferred me to a different group, manager, and state. Then my sister got cancer and they weren’t able to accommodate me helping her. So I had to quit, I am my sisters person and terminal cancer is more important than if I had sick time available.

Pros and Cons
I had my knee replaced and I was paid 100% for the 7 weeks I was off
They don’t follow through when you really need them. No support or repercussions

Highly productive environment with basic support from team members. Generous benefits program, 401k, Roth IRA, pension, medical, dental, vision, mental health benefits, maternity leave, generous PTO, Sick and Safe leave. Your colleagues are more or less available to assist you with questions or concerns about processes to help move work along. Day shift hours with little to no OT benefit. Minimal training on the job provided. Minimal documentation of company processes. Constantly changing work environment and processes often without any advanced warning or training. Job is constantly evolving.

Pros and Cons
Friendly office, causal dress code, banking hours
Micromanaged, do more with less philosophy, job requirements that have nothing to do with your job.

I had applied for a fraud services position there...recruiter contacted me, forwarded her stuff to the local branch doing the hiring. Was supposed to have a phone interview last Friday in the morning. I stayed home all morning, waiting on that call. I got an email on the 26th saying they decided to move forward with another candidate....WITHOUT EVEN INTERVIEWING ME!! Now...I'm guessing it might have something to do with me being placed on oxygen for long term, but no employer can say it's the reason without me eating their lunch through the ADA. Still....to not grant even a quick interview, even if your mind was made up prior, seems like poor taste business practice. Consequently....I would NEVER recommend US Bank for any services.

Pros and Cons
wouldn't know...they didn't give me a chance
i would imagine it would be having to wear those blinders....

USBank treats everyone with such respect and kindness. They promote continuing learning and reach out to let employees know about opportunities within the company for promotions. Over the years I have worked at the call center I have had three different team leaders. Each one has been kind, interested in helping with my success within the company and just good people in general.

Pros and Cons
Paid holidays as well as a just for you day off. Very nice people and opportunity for advancement.
