This location for US Foods was very poorly run on the operations side. Sky high expectations with no support from the senior management staff. No recognition of a job well done and we were treated like low class employees who didn’t know what we were doing even though we guided them to the best KPI’s the division had ever seen. Fired employees for speaking their mind even though “Straight Talk” and “You Matter” were part of the core value.

Pros and Cons
The night leadership team until we were replaced by the incoming Amazon employees.
Hired in new supervision at a higher pay rate than supervisors that had been there for 10 years.

Lots of good, hard working people that made my job easier. I cane in as a total stranger and we built a good, productive group. I left this job only because I missed my family back home in Indiana. This company had good leadership and they gave me the chance to grow.

Pros and Cons
If you want to grow with this company they will help you meet your goals.
Long hours and hard on a family.

Alot of overlap with with the Philadelphia and Allentown Distribution houses. I found myself bringing on New Accounts only to be told I couldnt have them because the philadelphia house had a stake in another outlet. My District manager never went to bat for me or my new accounts. I couldn't or wouldn't trust anyone. Everyone was out for themselves. Seemed they had there go to reps, that would take accounts or transfer accounts because of restructuring. I also witnessed and experienced verbal abuse by management. Total bull!! Glad I left.

Pros and Cons
Experience face to face customer relationship building. Company sales meetings
Always working, No home life balance, Management were puppets couldnt think for themselves.

I was let go without any reasons or warnings because I tested positive for Covid-19 and couldn’t be on site while I was on a state mandatory quarantine. I really enjoyed working there but I feel like they should’ve explained what led to my termination or atleast give me a warning

My hours were good and i was able to go to Doctor appointments when needed and either make up time or use some of my sick time towards it. Being a food industry there was always something to learn and had great vendors come in to teach us about their products. The company was very generous to employees/families on holidays holding breakfast with Santa, Trunk or Treat, Rodeos etc etc. All in all was a nice place to work.

Pros and Cons
Lots of employee/family days and activities
in my particular area for me it was the Micro management.
