This role executes internal audits and transactional testing in accordance with Customs regulations, the internal GE Audit standards, and adherence to the Enterprise Standard. They drive corrective actions and improvements for compliance. Based on these results, this role communicates with businesses to implement controls or correct as needed based on audit results. This role also provides data for Operational Metric Management.
Define Business Customs SOPs
IPP/ASP Risk Oversight for Business and support agent escalations
Perform risk audits (ie: wing to wing audits including HS, Special Programs and Valuation), publish results, file post entry amendments if applicable and execute improvements
Implement valuation compliance requirements, including INCOTERMS guidance, non-PO valuation, Transfer Pricing, assists, royalties and other additions to value, non-preferential COO
Local Agent Due Diligence Execution
Ensure agent invoice Reviews are being performed in accordance with the IPP Policy
Deliver Duty Paid (DDP) Usage Controls
Internal Audit Root Cause Analysis & Execution
Collaborate with Customs Authority audits, results & corrective actions
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum 3 years experience in customs processes or High school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Customs processes or In-country Professional Customs Certification or Accreditation with minimum 2 years experience in customs processes
Experience with free trade agreements, trusted trader programs, bonded facilities, special Customs programs, valuation, transfer pricing, record keeping requirements, auditing, procedure testing, trade management systems
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization
Proven ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments
Experience working in the Healthcare industry
Global trade management systems experience
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified
Oracle order management experience
