About Usher

What does an Usher do?

As Ushers, we collect admission tickets from guests upon their arrival and distribute paperwork or information relevant to the scheduled events. We examine the authenticity and the validity of tickets and pass by matching names and dates to our list. We escort visitors to their designated seats and inform them of the nearest restrooms and exists all the while ensuring a safe environment by maintaining clear aisles and reporting suspicious and dangerous behavior to the events’ security. We also provide special and personalized assistance to guests with needs such as individuals with wheelchairs or other disabilities

Core tasks:

  • collect and store disregarded and forgotten items after the event for the guests to retrieve
  • assist guests with entering and exiting in darkened spaces by illuminating walkways
  • greet arriving guests in a friendly and professional manner, and answer their questions regarding showtimes, events, or parking
