Utah Valley University (UVU) is an open-admission educational institution and committed to student success by focusing on teaching all students and providing them with real-world experiences. UVU has 41,735 students with an average class size of 23 students and courses are offered in the late afternoon, evenings, online, or through Weekend College in smaller classes by excellent faculty with personal interaction among teachers and students. UVU is located near the Wasatch Mountains and is recognized as one of the safest colleges in the nation. UVU is a teaching institution and emphasizes engaged learning. Utah Valley University has been accredited by Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, Washington. UVU runs 44 certificate programs, 65 Associate degree, 91 Bachelor's degree, 11 Master’s degree and 34 online programs. Students belong to 74 countries and 27% of students are 25 or older. UVU considers for over 250 scholarship options and 52% students were awarded financial aid in 2017.
