About Utility Forester

What does an Utility Forester do?

Being Utility Foresters, we work to research about, protect, and sustain forests and wildlife. Our job requires us to maintain grasslands, forests, and mountains. We are the experts who plan where, when, and how to plants trees. We also collect, analyze and test plant and animal specimens. Working outdoors, we are expected to oversee and protect the natural resources of forests and assist in fire suppression.

Core tasks:

  • planning, maintaining, and overseeing forests, and wildlife resources
  • Collect, test, and analyze animal and plant specimen
  • prepare disease control plans by using test results for insect
  • research and preserve wildlife
  • conduct environmental impact research
