Vallejo City Unified School District

The staff is rated on "class control" meaning that the students must not talk and "read and do their lessons from the book. 90% of my students copied their work from 10% of the students. All 3 high schools in the district are rated 3 or 4 on California State High School ratings. Most students test in the 35th percentile on their achievement tests. Most students stay in Vallejo, make babies and put more students through the public school system. It is job security for administrators. I provided physical opportunities for students to participate and learn. My students tested at the 87 percentile in their quantitative skills. I was an anachronism and unpopular with the administration because of my advocating and teaching the students so they had opportunities for jobs and education outside of Solano County. I lectured, explained the homework, had students take notes and performed chemistry, physical science and physics demonstrations to show the students abstract, quantitative concepts.
