Vanguard University is a private Christian university affiliated with the Assemblies of God church. With a total undergraduate enrollment of 1,869 per session, the university is considered one of the best in the west. Vanguard University was founded by D.W. Kerr, Harold K. Needham, and W.C Peirce in the year 1920 but is currently headed by Michael J. Beals, Ph.D. as president. As a Christian private university, the university's core values include preaching the truth through the teaching and understanding God's Word, contributing to the students' spiritual, intellectual, and cultural knowledge, and having students with both integrity and excellence. Vanguard University integrates scholarships across 14 departments for undergraduates offering different courses. The university also offers professional courses such as Business, Nursing, Anti-Human Trafficking Certificate, Psychology, Theology, and Early childhood, where students can obtain bachelor certificates. Graduates can also obtain their master's degree, Theology, Education, Nursing, Leadership studies, Clinical Psychology, and Organizational Psychology.
