About Vault Clerk

What does a Vault Clerk do?

As vault clerks, we are responsible for controlling money kept in the vault. Our key job duties involve calculating and handling money. Our other job tasks include authenticating amounts and signatures of the clients. We have to manage the receiving and recording of transactions securely and safely as per the federal and bank regulations. Sometimes, we have to restock ATMs and monitor security against loan specifications. We usually work at banks, offices and casinos.

  • checking security deposits for safekeeping and verifying signatures
  • recording securities transactions and purchases
  • working as an agent for banks by monitoring bank auditors
