About Veterinary Technician

What does a Veterinary Technician do?

We, the veterinary technicians, assist the senior veterinary doctors as they take care of animals. Our job role requires us to draw blood, give anesthesia, change the dressing, check the health, and give medication during and after the surgery. We also are responsible for contacting the clients and recording all the animals' medical histories. We also evaluate the health of the animal partially before surgery and perform a dental examination. Providing food and water to the pet, and observing its behavior after the treatment also is our responsibility.

Core tasks:

  • sterilizing tools and preparing the surgery room
  • updating patients' flies
  • educating the people about pet's health
